Saturday, June 22nd 2019: MHK to CS

This was our first long distance drive living in the US since November 2017. We started to drive at 8:30am from our home at Manhattan KS (MHK) and arrived Colorado Spring (CS) around 4pm. Altogether, we had a good smooth drive, but weather was kinda worried soon as we approached Colorado Springs. We were welcomed by scary dark skies, rain and cold at 16c. We did not check in to the hotel immediately, but took the opportunity of the leftover evening daylight to see The Garden of the Gods national park. The light rain did not stop me from taking pictures at all possible opportunities. After a short round driving in the car, the rain stopped. I'd say, it was a blessing little rain day to have less tourists around the park!

Sunday, June 23rd 2019: Colorado Spring to Boulder

Temperature: 12c-9c
The next day, we continued our journey from Colorado to Boulder. We had already drove half way through up to Estes Park and hubby suddenly had to make a U-turn. He could not take his fear off the height and the narrow street driving to the mountain. Yes, I was sad but safety comes first.
